PartnersThe CSNP board has enjoyed almost ten years of fruitful partnerships with neighborhood associations, scout troops, other non-profit organizations, schools, universities, local businesses, and many other groups. We greatly appreciate the efforts of these partners, not only because of the work we have accomplished at the preserve, but also because of the many friends weve made from working together with dedicated and energetic people.Lowe'sLowe's has provided us with generous discounts on materials for boardwalk construction Atlanta Audubon SocietyAAS supported our Observation Deck construction with a generous grant and has since lead bird tours and assisted with other projects. AAS members are regular visitors to the preserve Get Ready for the 2007 Atlanta Audubon Society Photography Contest! More... EcoWatch AmericorpsEcoWatch teams have assisted with many projects at the preserve including the Outdoor Classroom and the Native Plant Garden. These young adults are all energetic and enthusiastic and are involved in numerous environmental service projects in the Atlanta area. Boy Scouts of America/Girl Scouts of AmericaEagle Scouts have completed numerous projects including boardwalk construction, the kiosk, the shed, and the Observation Deck. Girl Scouts have volunteered for garden projects and have assisted with our Sunset Tour and Harvest Celebration events. Hands-On-AtlantaHOA volunteers have often worked at the preserve, particularly on Hands-On-Atlanta Day in October, an annual event. Clairmont Heights Civic AssociationCHCA has been a strong neighborhood advocacy group in our area for years and has been a great friend to CSNP sending volunteers to workdays, helping to publicize our events, and assisting with fundraisers. North Decatur Heights Neighborhood AssociationMembers of this organization have served on the CSNP board of directors and they continue to offer volunteer and financial support. Medlock Area Neighborhood AssociationMANA is a recently formed association that has become a strong proponent of neighborhood issues. Many of our volunteers are MANA members. Home DepotHome Depot on Lawrenceville Highway has donated materials and supplies to the nature preserve. Intown Ace HardwareOur friends at Intown Ace have supported our efforts with cash donations and discounts on supplies. Many of our neighborhood kids have worked at the store on Scott Boulevard in Decatur. Ronn and Ann RealtorsRonn Johnston and Ann Kimble have sponsored our newsletter production for the last three years. This successful team promotes the nature preserve to our new and prospective neighbors. |
